Babies and Kids stuff…
As a mum to 2 beautiful daughters, I have bought many clothes for them online. I find with kidswear, there’s an even bigger disparity in sizing between brands but at least if its too big, they can wear it when they’re older. Here’s my picks..
Bonds – good old Australian Bonds (except that its now made in China). They’re online store is great as they now offer free shipping and free returns plus they have frequent sales and special deals. Always the go to place for affordable basics.
Next Direct – it’s a UK store which also offers womens and menswear as well but I have only bought kids stuff. A good selection of kids clothes up to 16yrs and lots of 100% cotton items. Free shipping to Aus as well!
Purebaby – this is one of my favourite babywear brands as it is organic cotton and designs are simple (definitely not a lacy, frills kind of person). They are stocked in DJs but range will be limited. The onlline store should have a bigger range and will have sales or deals every now and then. Customer service is ok – they can do better especially during sales time. Update – first Sydney store has opened in Chatswood Chase. YAY!
Urbanbaby – is a all things babies and toddlers with toys, nursery items, feeding accessories, sleepwear, bathing accessories, you name it – it’ll probably be there. And the good thing about this store is that it’s not your stock standard stuff – there’s some unique things there that you won’t be able to buy in chain stores. Great for present buying and shipping is $7.50 for orders under $100.
Bambini Pronto – another all things baby store. To be honest, I haven’t shopped at Bambini since my first daughter was a baby and that’s some 5 years ago. But, I do know mums who still shop there and they sell a good range of baby stuff – sleeping bags, feeding accessories, toys and cute gifts – I would say similar to Urbanbaby but probably less range. It’s worth comparing prices between these baby stores to get an idea of how much products are so that when they do go on sale or when stores have promotion deals, you can snap them up for a bargain! Delivery goes by weight and is very reasonable – $5 if order is under 5kg and $8 for express delivery under 5kgs.
Wrigglepot – is another general baby store that stocks a lot of sleeping items, bedding, feeding items, toys, etc. Prices are comparable to other stores and what I love the most is the FREE SHIPPING! All things equal with no discounts, I would buy from this store and save myself $5-$10 shipping. Delivery is super quick as well and great service.
Amazon – how could I forget about Amazon?! The world’s biggest online marketplace! You could go crazy on this site for all your baby/kids stuff. I don’t usually buy for myself on Amazon but have bought books, baby toys and educational tools for my older daughter. International shipping varies by weight but for the savings you get, it’ll might be worth it. The UK site also has free international shipping every now and then.
